MicroMo Electronics, Inc. announces the addition of a plastic planetary gearbox with the release of the Series 26A. The gearbox weighs a mere 25 grams while providing a maximum continuous torque of 1 Nm with intermittent torque up to 1.5 Nm. The 26A has a diameter of 26 mm and ranges in length from 67 mm to 79 mm. The planetary gearbox comes with 9 standard ratios for speed reduction or torque multiplication. The planetary gearbox is available with both sintered sleeve and ball bearings. The gearbox is equipped with standard drilled holes on the drive side for easy mounting.
The Series 26A Precision Planetary Gearbox can be combined with a motor and encoder for a complete miniature DC drive system. The gearbox can be used with the Faulhaber Series 2232, 2342, 2642, and 2657 coreless DC motors or the Faulhaber Series 2444 brushless DC motors. The motor and gearbox can be combined with magnetic or optical encoders to allow for precise control of speed and direction of rotation as well as the positioning of the drive shaft.
The series 26A is immediately available in ratios of 13:1, 16:1, 40:1, 50:1, 64:1, 124:1, 158:1, 201:1, 256:1 with sintered sleeve or ball bearings from stock with a 24 - 48 hour turnaround
